Organizing Pays Off!

By Judy

Often, when we haven’t experienced it, we may wonder whether getting organized is worth the investment of time, energy, and money.

While working with a relatively new client today, after 3 visits in the past 3 months, she stated “I have already gotten my money back.”

Due to the many organizing changes she has made and the new systems she has gotten in place during our time working together, she has been able to save money in several ways.

Some of the ways she has indicated are:

  1. She is no longer making as many “spur of the moment” purchases.   Because she knows what she has in her household and how much of it – she is shopping more strategically and consciously.
  2. She has been able to use food items and other household supplies, instead of buying more of them, because she can easily find the items when she needs them.
  3. She is cooking more instead of eating at restaurants because she can find the cooking / baking ingredients easily.
  4. She is able to use her coupons and gift certificates now because they are easy to find and access.

She is also happier in her home environment and stated “I love tracking my money now and seeing how well I am doing – it is actually FUN now!”

Getting organized does take an investment.

It takes time to get disorganized, it takes time to re-organize.

The ROI (Return On That Investment), however is: PRICELESS!
